2024 Overdose Awareness Day Remembrance Vigil
August 31, 7:30pm-9:00pm
Join us on August 31 for our 2024 Overdose Awareness Day Remembrance Vigil at the Downtown Martinsville performance venue from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
This event is dedicated to family members, friends, loved ones, and community members we’ve lost to overdose and those affected by these losses. We will have a photo dedication and candlelight vigil to commemorate those we’ve lost to overdose, as well as testimonials from loved ones and from individuals in recovery.

This event will feature the presentation of three distinguished awards:

Stability First Heart of the Community Award - this is designated for one community member
Stability First Public Service Hero Award - this is designated for individual serving in public service, such as a police officer, firefighter, healthcare provider, or social worker
Stability First Volunteer of the Year Award - this is designated for one volunteer

These awards honor individuals and community members who have made significant contributions to combatting addiction and supporting recovery efforts, recognizing their dedication, courage, and impactful service in the community affected by addiction.

If you've lost a loved one to overdose and would like to have them remembered through a yard sign, please fill out the form below. Yard signs will display your loved ones first name, age, and three adjectives to describe them. It is our hope that these yard signs help raise awareness and reduce the stigmas associated about fatal overdose, overdose, substance use disorder, and recovery.
